By lifting the chauffeur-driven experience to a new level, the all-new LM becomes a strategic model for Lexus internationally, with an expanded sales network of over 60 regions in Japan and Europe.
The core objective of the engineering and design team was to create a vehicle provides an interior space and dynamic experience where all passengers could naturally feel at ease. This begins with core ride comfort and functionality. The driver enjoys effortless engagement through direct and precise manoeuvrability, attributes that benefit the rear-seat passengers, who also enjoy a lack of distraction from unwanted noise and vibrations, allowing them to feel productive and refreshed.
The exterior design projects an elegant presence and aerodynamic form in keeping with the Lexus design language, the vehicle's lines reflecting function and dynamic performance. In the interior, the front cabin design combines practicality with refinement to allow drivers to focus, while the spacious rear suite offers meticulously crafted seats and trim alongside a variety of features and technology to make the most of passengers' precious travel time.
Lexus introduced the first-ever “Rear Comfort” mode in the Drive Mode Select, emphasizing the rear seat comfort. The dampening characteristics of the AVS are set to prioritize comfort in the rear seats, while minimizing the vehicle’s posture changes during acceleration and deceleration through integrated control of the accelerator and brakes. Furthermore, Smooth Stop Control is equipped as standard in all vehicles, ensuring seamless stopping.
Aiming to provide an exceptional experience for all passengers, the adoption of a newly designed GA-K platform reflects the commitment to deliver a ride quality worthy of a flagship MPV. The new LM model thoroughly strengthens the vehicle fundamentals and increases body torsional rigidity by approximately 1.5 times compared to the previous models. This exemplifies Lexus’ commitment in structural rigidity and weight reduction while helping to reduce fatigue-inducing vibrations and stabilize the line of sight. The meticulous tuning of the chassis and suspension also enables an unparalleled journey that is smooth and well-balanced.
Furthermore, an "AVS system with frequency-sensitive valves" is used for the first time in a Lexus, combining a linear solenoid-type actuator and a frequency-sensitive valve which enables instantaneous switching of dampening force according to road surface and driving conditions. For noise control, the new LM analyzes the frequency bandwidth and sources of different noise during the journey, and adopts materials for sonic glass, noise absorption, noise insultation, vibration reduction and the redesigned hood insulation structure to minimize noise inside the compartment, creating a natural and quiet environment.
The cockpit’s Tazuna layout comes with concise dashboard and control panel, helping the driver to focus on the road.
In the LM350h Emperor Suite 4-seater model features a privacy partition to separate the driver and passengers, a large 48-inch widescreen display monitor and a refrigerator underneath. Together with the small storage compartments, the back row is similar to the first-class cabin on the plane.
The first-ever Lexus "Rear Climate Concierge," which provides integrated control of air conditioning, seat position, sunshades, lighting, and other functions in four preset modes, supports the creation of an optimal cabin environment for passengers.
Rear seat passengers can also customize the interior atmosphere with a total of 64 illumination colors, including 14 themed colors and 50 individual colors. Furthermore, the dedicated "thermal IR matrix sensor" on the partition can detect and compare temperatures of the vehicle top and window, and the passenger's body (face, chest, thighs, and lower legs) to automatically adjust to the most comfortable temperature inside the car at all times.
In the LM350h Emperor Suite 4-seater model, two independent Ottoman seats are available in the back row. With class-leading L-aniline leather cover and large headrest, the seats provide optimized ride comfort. For the first time in a Lexus, seat heating function has been extended to the armrests and the Ottoman.
